What's the RWYB plan for 2008?

Date of the Event is 27 September 2008

The deadline for registration and shirt orders is 22 August 2008

2008 Entry Form:
All entry forms and shirt orders are due by August 22, 2008.

The Entry fee is $50 per boat and $25 per person, Registration after 22 August 2008 will not include a burgee and I will not be able to get your boat name on the t-shirt. Cost of the t-shirt is separate.

Registration Example: 1 Boat, 4 participants (Captain, 1st Mate and 2 Crew) = $150

I will take entries up to the morning of the Regatta, however shirt orders must be placed in advance. I cannot guarantee a shirt for anyone who registers on the day of the event. I will order a few extras and they will be available on a first come basis. This is going to be another great RWYB Regatta.

The long sleeve T-shirts have a mock turtle neck with RWYB embroidered on the collar.

PHRF Racer Instructions:

For the PHRF racers, the Captains meeting is tentatively scheduled for 7:00pm

26 September 2008 Cruisers may attend both or either meeting. The meetings are held in the Mears Point Marina Pavilion.

Cruiser Instructions:

For the Cruisers or non-PHRF, the Captains meeting is tentatively scheduled for 9:00am

27 September 2008. Cruisers may attend both or either meeting. The meetings are held in the Mears Point Marina Pavilion.

PHRF Registration:

Contact Chris Bardwell-Jones cbj@bardac.com. Chris is the organizer for the KIRF - Kent Island Racing Fleet. He has a series of PHRF racing events running from early spring through early winter terminating with a Frostbite series.

The Party:

Again this year the party is catered. No more having to prepare and bring a pot luck dish to share, when you get back to the Marina, just get cleaned up and head on over to the Main Pavilion and get ready to party. We are still working on the menu.

Of course there’ll be live entertainment again. Who do you think the band will be this year? We’re not tellin’, but you’re gonna love ‘em! So ya better start diggin’ out those instruments and dustin’ off your maraccas so you can be ready to jamm with the RWYB Band! Back to the root where it all began!

So everyone knows where RWYB Regatta boats are, bring flags and lights. Fly the RWYB Burgee, Fly your Flags and Light your lights.
