The Party Set Up - 2003

Run What You Brung is an event that everyone participates in at any level they want.  We need help setting up and cleaning up after the party and we request a volunteer to start the PHRF group and be at the finishing line.  Everyone just pitches in and it gets done.

Kristine - Jeff, will this work?

It was a gloomy morning but we had some good help, a little coffee, and some great attitudes, and we got the preparation for the evening's events completed, and had a good time doing it.

Ron - Where is the coffee?                                Jane - Maybe if we do this....

Lights and decorations all come from the big "Scavenger Hunt Challenge".  Thanks to Jane, the challenge had been met and most of the items were acquired and ready to go.

Gene - Let's see...more power if I hook this up!                               Jane - That goes over there!

Jane's Scavenger Hunt challenge.

"Hiya -- It's that time again........time to collect bits and pieces from everyone to use in decorating for the Run What You Brung.  This year, we're going to do things a little differently.......on Friday evening, there'll be dock carts on "O" Dock with signs on them, each for a different item.  Please mark your items so you can identify them after the party, and leave them in the appropriate carts.  After the party, we'll get the stuff back into the carts, and you can pick up your things on the dock the next morning."

This year's "Scavenger Hunt" Items were:
Me - Happy it's all coiming together!
Plastic Buckets (we need 20, and colors would be nice if you have them)

Boat Hooks or Awning Poles (we need at least 12 nice long ones)

Extension Cords  (we need 20, count 'em twenty!)

Power Strips  (we need 6)

Strings of White Xmas Lights  (we need at least 30, the more the better)

Life Rings and Horseshoe Buoys  (we need 20, colors and ones with names are best)

Are ya up to the challenge?  Most of this is stuff that's on our boats somewhere anyway, so please help us make this the best party ever!  We're all looking forward to a great day.  Jane - Bliss
